Visa Launches Crypto Stablecoin Payments in Latin America

In what could be a monumental development for the digital asset industry, Visa has officially launched stablecoin payments in Latin America. Indeed, the payment technology company officially announced a partnership with Bridge to help boost the accessibility of the asset class in Mexico, Argentina, and four other countries. Both Visa and the Stripe-owned startup have partnered to develop new stablecoin-linked Visa cards. The new product will allow the asset classes to be used in everyday purchases through the new offering. Therefore, the move should provide a boost to the use and adoption of the digitized US dollar-backed asset.
