To check an Ethereum transaction, use a blockchain explorer and enter the transaction hash to view details such as sender/receiver addresses and gas fees. A transaction on the Ethereum blockchain is technically initiated by an external account owner (not a contract). For example, if User A sends 1 Ether (ETH) to User B, the action of debiting from one account and crediting to another changes the blockchain’s state. The change specifically takes place on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Ethereum transactions need to be broadcast to the entire network, and any node can broadcast a request for the execution of a transaction on the EVM. After broadcasting the request, a validator can then execute the transaction and propagate the state change to the whole network. DeFi insurance payouts amounted to $34.4M in 2022: Report

Ninety percent of all DeFi insurance claims paid out since inception were distributed in 2022, according to OpenCover. According to a Mar. 21 report published by decentralized finance analytics firm OpenCover, DeFi insurance companies paid out $34.4 million in claims in 2022. In context, only $36.9 million of such claims have been paid out since OpenCover began tracking the data. Notable payouts include $22.5 million during the collapse of the Terra Luna ecosystem in May 2022 and $4.7 million from the collapse of crypto exchange FTX in November 2022.  Despite the surge in payouts , OpenCover said only $231 million worth of funds in DeFi protocols had been insured as per its data, representing just 0.5% of the total value locked in the DeFi industry. Surojit Chatterjee to retain 249,315 shares of Coinbase stock after departing company

The former chief product officer will receive a healthy severance package, as he departs from his previous role at the exchange. Surojit Chatterjee, the former chief product officer at Coinbase, will officially leave the company on February 3rd after reportedly making an estimated $105 million in stock sales.  According to disclosures filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Chatterjee will also retain 249,315 shares of Coinbase stock. At the time of publication, Coinbase stock was valued at $54.28 per share, by Google Finance.  Chatterjee joined Coinbase from Google in February 2020 with a salary of just under $1 million per year. In recognition of Chatterjee's contributions to the company, Coinbase and Chatterjee have entered into a separation agreement that includes severance benefits and an advisory deal in which he will provide advisory services from Feb 4, through to Dec 31, 2023.
