While Montenegro continues to flip-flop on where — or even if — to extradite Do Kwon, it appears that the crypto scammer is managing to single-handedly rip the Balkan nation apart. Most recently, the former minister of justice, Andrej Milovic, accused current prime minister, Milojko Spajić, of purposely attempting to have Do extradited to South Korea instead of the United States for his own selfish reasons. Do Kwon documents reveal astounding stupidity of his arrest

Publicly shared documents released ahead of the upcoming extradition of notorious crypto Ponzi schemer Do Kwon reveal the stupid turn of events that led to his arrest and that of his compatriot, Joon Chang. Attempting to leave Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro , on a private jet in March of 2023, Kwon and Chang were stopped at a border crossing when they presented fake Costa Rican passports. The pair were attempting to fly to Dubai, the known home of Changpeng Zhao (colloquially known as CZ), founder and former CEO of Binance. After having their luggage confiscated and searched, further problematic documents were discovered, including invalidated South Korean and Belgian passports which included totally different personal information for the two. Terra Founder Do Kwon Could Spend 'Most of His Life' in Jail: Seoul Prosecutor

Recently, the Montenegro court in-charge of Terra founder Do Kwon ’s passport forgery case accepted his 400,000 euro [$428k] bail request. This came on the heels of a previous high court annulment. Ever since his arrest, both South Korea and the U.S. regulators have requested Kwon’s extradition in connection with the collapse of his multi-billion dollar crypto enterprise in May last year. According to senior prosecutor Dan Sunghan, Kwon could spend most of his life behind bars. Initially, he’d be spending jail-time in South Korea, and then be sent to the U.S. to serve his term. The prosecutor clarified that it is possible for a person to be tried and sentenced in both jurisdictions for different charges. Notably, Dan is the Director of the Financial Crime Investigation Bureau at the Seoul Southern District Prosecution Service.
